Today was a beautiful day in New England. Though, truth be told, the fall is chalk full of beautiful days, and today was no exception.I was recently invited by the Flanagan's (family friends) on an "apple picking" outing at a farm called Applecrest in New Hampshire. Below are pictures of the event.

Here I am picking a few Red Delicious apples. I'm carrying a plastic bad that holds about a bushel of apples.

AND SO FALL BEGINS...

Apologies, I promised pictures, but as it turns out, I lost my camera the night of the Fashion Show, somewhere between "CLINK" the hotel bar and the taxi cab ride home to Slummerville! Regardless, it was a great night spent with a dear friend and co-worker. As for the Young Partners of the Boston Ballet event, well I have pictures for that event and will upload as soon as I complete file transfers. I'll also be appearing in an issues of the "Improper Bostonian" for that particular event. A year in and i'm already developing connections!

Upcoming events include Apple Picking, a long overdue visit from my younger sister and cooking classes at the Cambridge Culinary Institute. I'll have to invest in a new camera so that I can share those events with you!

Boston Fashion Week

Formerly known as the Charles Street Jail and completed in 1851. The original building, a collaborative effort by architect Gridley James Fox Bryant, widely considered Boston’s most accomplished architect of the time, and Rev. Louis Dwight, a prominent Yale-educated penologist whose travels shaped his interest in and advocacy for prison reform. The jail was though to be one of the best examples of the “Boston Granite Style” of the mid-19th century.

In 1973, after 120 years of housing some of Boston’s most notorious criminals, prisoners revolted because of poor living conditions and the jail was declared unfit and in violation of the inmates’ constitutional rights. On Memorial Day weekend 1990, the last prisoners were moved to the new Suffolk County Jail.
